Tran v. Toyota - 420 F.3d 1310 (11th Cir. 2005)

Tran v. Toyota Motor Corporation
The Eleventh Circuit Federal Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Mai Tran after her product liability case was tried in federal court in Orlando, Florida. Toyota subsequently settled her case involving her 1993 Toyota Cressida.

Toyota settled a case involving a 1993 Toyota Cressida. Mai Tran was the belted driver of the Cressida when she was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle. Mai sustained a broken neck resulting in quadriplegia.

Georgia Pipe Co. v. Lawler, 262 Ga.App. 22, 584 S.E.2d 634 (2003)

Georgia Pipe Co. v. Lawler
The Georgia Court of Appeals affirmed a 1.7 million dollar jury verdict in favor of John and Melissa Lawler in a tractor trailer case involving the death of their son, John Lawler, IV.

John Lawler, IV was killed on his way home from work when a truck driver lost control of his rig, slid into the median of the freeway, and ran into the footing of an overhead sign, which fell on Mr. Lawler's vehicle. Through extensive investigation, the firm proved that the truck lost control because a load of PVC pipe on the truck shifted due to improper loading at the pipe company.

Beam v. Kingsley, 255 Ga.App 715 (Ga.App 2002)

Beam v. Kingsley
The Georgia Court of Appeals affirmed a 4 million dollar verdict in favor of Susan Kingsley in a case involving the death of her husband, Scott Kingsley.

Scott Kingsley was riding his motorcycle when Donna Beam, who had been drinking, pulled out in front of him. Mr. Kingsley died in the accident.

Coker v. DaimlerChrysler Corporation, 220 F. Supp.2d 1367 (N.D. Ga. 2002)

Coker, et al. v. DiamlerChrysler
Beatrice Coker and Jimmy Colbert were Chrysler vehicle owners who filed a class action against DiamlerChrysler alleging breach of warranty, negligence and negligent misrepresentation as a result of allegedly defective seatbelts. The plaintiffs were seeking damages associated with replacing Gen-3 Buckles.



Watkins v. Ford Motor Company, 190 F.3d 1213 (11th Cir.1999)

Watkins v. Ford
The Eleventh Circuit Federal Court of Appeals ruled in favor of James and Belinda Watkins in a case involving the death of their son, Brian Watkins. Watkins v. Ford is considered a landmark case in Georgia, affirming consumers rights to hold manufacturers accountable when it is proven that they have recklessly placed an unreasonably dangerous product on the market.

Over the years, the firm has represented numerous victims of Ford Bronco II rollovers and is known as one of the leading plaintiffs' firms for Bronco II rollover litigation. In all, we have successfully litigated over twenty cases involving rollovers of Ford Bronco II vehicles. Brian Watkins was killed when the Ford Bronco II he was a riding in became unstable and rolled over.

Kapsch v. Stowers, 434 S.E. 2d 539, 209 Ga. App. 767 (Ga. App. 1999)

Kapsch v. Stowers
The Georgia Court of Appeals affirmed a $300,000.00 verdict in favor of Marjorie Stowers in this medical malpractice action.

Dr. Kapsch performed a left subclavian bypass surgery on Marjorie Stowers. The day following the surgery, Marjorie Stowers had pain, loss of sensation, and loss of use of her left shoulder and arm. Mrs. Stowers and her husband filed a lawsuit against Dr. Kapsch contending that he deviated from the standard of care.

Good Ol' Days Downtown, Inc. v. Yancey, 434 S.E.2d 740, 209, Ga.App 969 (Ga.App 1993)

Yancey v. Good Ol' Days
The Georgia Court of Appeals held in favor of Dean Yancey in this premises liability case.

Mr. Yancey was patron at the Gold Ol' Days restaurant in Sandy Springs. He was seated at a table with a female friend. Another customer walked over to Mr. Yancey, accused him of taking a beer and demanded that Mr. Yancey buy him a beer.
